How are sessions conducted?

I exclusively offer telemedicine based services.  Essentially, we meet through a secured video platform that is encrypted and HIPAA compliant.  There is no software to be downloaded.  Prior to your appointment, I send you a special secure link that connects you via internet to our virtual meeting space  You may utilize any electronic device and you get to choose your personal environment for our important work. Telemedicine offers greater flexibility in scheduling, as you can meet anywhere and all of our time is dedicated to meeting.  No commutes, no waiting room waits. 

What is the investment?  

My standard fee is $175 for a 60 minute session.

Do you accept insurance?

I am a bulldog when it comes to your information and confidentiality.  As such, I do NOT accept insurance.  The main reasons being that as part of agreeing to take insurance, they retain the rights to dictate that you be assigned a clinical diagnosis, they regulate how often we can meet and for how long, they can access your most sensitive information at their request and for their company use, and dictate the costs of our sessions. 

As a fee-for-service provider, you and I have the freedom to develop a plan that is solely focused on you and your unique needs.  The focus remains on providing the highest quality of services.  Unless you choose to disclose it, no one needs to know of our work together.

How is payment processed?

All session fees are due by the beginning of each meeting. Payment may be made by debit, credit or HSA card. All changes incurred are the responsibility of the client. Prior to our first session, I send you a secure link to an encrypted app which prompts you to enter you card information and safeguards it.  All sessions will be charged to that card unless otherwise agreed upon. It is super convenient and provides a medical receipt for all expenses paid at each visit.

Who do you work with?

I work with individuals of all ages.  I am supportive of those living a non-traditional lifestyle.  I offer a safe place free of pejorative labels or judgement.

Whether you consider yourself a newly awakened intuitive or a galactic cat, it matters not.  What is most valuable in discerning if I can help is whether you feel resonance with me. 

Are services confidential?

Confidentiality in counseling is protected and regulated by both professional ethics and state law. I follow both HIPAA and the AAMFT code of ethics. I follow the same guidelines within coaching practices which tends to be an unregulated practice due to no overriding licensing board.

In general, all communications between you and me are confidential.  Information is not disclosed unless requested by you and only with your written permission. However, there are exceptions to this rule. For example, when safety needs require it of me.

Additional exceptions, especially those pertaining to release of information to outside parties, will be outlined during our initial meeting and are provided in written form for you to review. I am willing to discuss and review possible limits of confidentiality on an on-going basis during the course of our relationship.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

If needing to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please do so more than 24 hours in advance. Cancellations or missed appointments under 24 hours will be billed at full rate.
